Divorce, separation, or shared custody can be some of the most emotionally charged experiences a parent goes through, and it’s also when your child needs stability the most. Our Collaborative Co-Parenting Class offers guidance, tools, and a structured environment to help you and your co-parent move forward with clarity and care.
When: Mondays, 5:00–6:30 PM
Start Date: January 12th, 2026
Where: In-person at Flying Bagel Counseling Services – Bremerton

Duration: 8-week series (with optional 2-week extension)
Cost: $100 per week, per couple
Sliding scale available for families with demonstrated need.

This class is designed for parents who are:
Navigating a divorce, separation, or complex co-parenting situation
Experiencing conflict or communication challenges with their co-parent
Committed to supporting their child’s emotional well-being and development
Open to attending class together with their co-parent in a neutral, structured space
Each week builds on the last—focusing on your child’s needs, your shared responsibilities, and practical ways to communicate and co-parent more effectively.
Week 1: Ground Rules & Agreements
Clarifying what’s on the table, what’s not—and who we’re here for (your child).
Week 2: Child Development & Neurobiology
Understanding how conflict and trauma impact brain development and behavior.
Week 3: Divorce, Stress & Your Child’s Experience
Recognizing signs of distress in your child—and yourself—and fostering resilience.
Week 4: Communication Blocks
Why conversations break down and how to re-establish connection.
Week 5: Managing Emotions & Triggers
Learning to self-regulate, even in high-stress interactions.
Week 6: Boundaries & Family Roles
Setting healthy limits, navigating step-families, in-laws, and new dynamics.
Week 7: Conflict Resolution Tools
Practical, calm, child-centered problem-solving strategies.
Week 8: Parenting Vision & Shared Values
Aligning goals and creating a more stable environment for your child.
Optional Weeks 9–10: Integration & Practice
Hands-on support, co-parenting coaching, and building your roadmap together.
To maintain a safe and productive group environment, we conduct a brief intake screening.
This class may not be appropriate if either parent:
Has a history of domestic violence or harm to others
Is experiencing an untreated substance use disorder
Is unwilling or unable to attend class with the co-parent
Has significant scheduling conflicts
All participants must complete a 1-hour intake screening session prior to registration.
